Yetter Show Sheep

Yetter Show Sheep began as Yetter Suffolks, a partnership between the three Yetter brothers in 1968. They raised and showed registered Suffolk sheep.

Today Yetter Show Sheep is owned by Scott and Dana Yetter and is located eight miles southeast of LaGrange, Wyoming.  They now raise, show and sell Suffolk/Hampshire cross sheep.

We have shown many champions and Supreme champions. One of the most memorable was the last registered Suffolk ram we owned that was chosen Supreme ram at the Newell South Dakota Ram Show and Sale. Other shows we have been named champion and supreme include; county fairs throughout the region with sheep shown by junior 4-H and FFA members, the Wyoming State Fair exhibiting the Supreme Ram and the Supreme Flock two years in a row. Our sheep have also been chosen reserve champion at national shows. We have continually had champion ultrasound lambs at various county fairs.

In September of every year we consign rams to the Wyoming State Ram Sale in Douglas, Wyoming. We test our sheep for scrapies, the spider gene, and the dwarf syndrome. Our flock tests RR, NN, and FF.

We work hard with our genetics to raise high quality thick, meaty sheep. We have been very pleased with our Stumpz, Thunder and King lambs and we excited to see our future lambs from our new addition Chief.
